We welcomed Sophia Irjae Daligou into our world today. Born at 3:11 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 1 ounce. She is 20 inches long. Carrie and Dali are doing well. When the doctor had concerns about the baby heartbeat, Carrie was moved to a surgical room, and Dali and I had to get into the surgical garb, prepared if there was a c-section. Carrie's wonderful Doctor perservered and delivered our sweet baby naturally. She is just beautiful, and looks like Dali. Our dear friends, Nancy and Frank Krenek drove three hours to hold the baby and to see Carrie, then drove back home tonight. About 18 years ago, Carrie was the first to hold their baby Ellen Omeara when she was delivered. We were so delighted they came to our celebration. Carrie and Sophia will go home on Wednesday.

Can someone please tell me how Carrie managed to look so good after giving birth?
