A Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year to You!

For those of you who are getting your Christmas letter from us via our blog, we send our greetings now at the end of 2007, but hope that we will be able to visit many of you as we head out on our trip to the Pacific Coast, Alaska, Canada, then down the east coast. 2007 was a huge year for us: I turned 60, then retired. We celebrated our 40th anniversary with family and friends, then Carrie and Dali were married on July 14. We were able to return to Washington C.H., Ohio for a glorious reunion with old friends. Denny participated in Dr. Roszmann's funeral, then preached the next day at Fayette Bible Church (for the first time in 25 years). Denny retired on September 30, and we headed to Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico for the month of October. Brian and Eric and their wives and children joined us for a week. In November, we helped Denny's sister, Joni move to Tucson to see if she can stand the heat and the relatives! We plan to travel beginning the end of March, spend time in Alaska in the summer, then head across Canada to Nova Scotia to see Tim and Marge Garren. We hopefully will get back to Ohio, then South Carolina to see Gale Roszmann. Eventually we will be in Houston with Carrie and Dali, then home before the holidays in 2008.
We hope to hear from you. We always enjoy hearing from friends at this time of year.

You have to visit Tombstone, AZ

My brother, Ray and his wife Denise came for Thanksgiving. The next day, we took our RV's and headed for Tombstone, AZ. Denny and I had not been there in twenty plus years. We parked our RV's close enough to walk to town. The most fun was watching the locals do Karaoke in the Silver Nugget Saloon Friday evening. Tombstone comes alive with the locals dressed in traditional cowboy attire in the evenings. We really had fun. Ray and Denise joined in and did a couple of karaoke numbers themselves. On the way to Tombstone, and on the way home, we stopped at The Reb Cafe, a favorite spot in Benson, AZ.

Denny's Retirement Weekend, September 2007

We had such a memorable weekend. G.G. (Grandma Anderson) was here with us. Carrie and Dali got here Saturday morning. Eric and Tanya joined us all on Saturday. Brian, Chandra and their family came in Saturday night. Also, my cousins, Shirley and Jack Parkes joined us from California. We had a fun party Saturday night, lots of fun during the day on Sunday, then the church dinner and program. Having everyone here, playing together and having fun was so much a part of the festivities. My cousin Shirley said being with our family felt like being with her own kids.
