Keep Track of Baby Daligou

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

My friend asked me how far along Carrie was...... and I had lost track, but it reminded me of a funny story. When I found out I was pregnant the first time, I immediately told my mother. At church the next Sunday, she told my friend, Avonne. Avonne asked, Oh! When is she due? And my mother said, "I don't know, I guess in 10 months!"

Well, so I don't need to trust my memory, you can track Carrie and Dali's baby here .

Julie Andrews Turned 69

To commemorate her birthday, actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP.
One of the musical numbers she performed was "My Favorite Things" from the legendary movie "Sound Of Music". Here are the lyrics she used:

(Sing It!) - If you sing it, it is especially hysterical!!!

Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cadillacs and cataracts , hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.

When the joints ache, When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores. Please share Ms. Andrews' clever wit and humor with others who would appreciate it.

Northern Trust Open, Los Angeles, CA

We just returned from L.A. We had fun visiting Brian, Chandra and their children. We love attending Brian's church. We then spent the week dry camping at the V.A. Medical Center parking lot, and riding a shuttle to the Riviera Country Club every day to work concessions. We each had a stand like the one in the picture. We enjoy working for Hole in One Sports Catering, and we enjoy meeting new people.

We're Hitting the Road Again

In January, we met cousins Shirley and Jack Parkes in Laughlin, Nevada for New Years. They got us in with Hole in One Catering, and so we met them in mid January for the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Now, we are leaving again this week to visit Brian and Chandra in Valencia, California. We will go from there to the L.A. PGA Open to again work for Hole in One.

We Have Good News!

Guess Who is having a baby?

We've Been Elfed!

We've been elfed, and we want you to join in the fun. Check it out!

A Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year to You!

For those of you who are getting your Christmas letter from us via our blog, we send our greetings now at the end of 2007, but hope that we will be able to visit many of you as we head out on our trip to the Pacific Coast, Alaska, Canada, then down the east coast. 2007 was a huge year for us: I turned 60, then retired. We celebrated our 40th anniversary with family and friends, then Carrie and Dali were married on July 14. We were able to return to Washington C.H., Ohio for a glorious reunion with old friends. Denny participated in Dr. Roszmann's funeral, then preached the next day at Fayette Bible Church (for the first time in 25 years). Denny retired on September 30, and we headed to Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico for the month of October. Brian and Eric and their wives and children joined us for a week. In November, we helped Denny's sister, Joni move to Tucson to see if she can stand the heat and the relatives! We plan to travel beginning the end of March, spend time in Alaska in the summer, then head across Canada to Nova Scotia to see Tim and Marge Garren. We hopefully will get back to Ohio, then South Carolina to see Gale Roszmann. Eventually we will be in Houston with Carrie and Dali, then home before the holidays in 2008.
We hope to hear from you. We always enjoy hearing from friends at this time of year.
Denny and Anita.......
